Simon and Garfunkel maybe on tour soon

March 21, 2009
Simon and Garfunkel’s last big duo appearance, the “Old Friends Tour”, was in 2003/04. This extremely successful tour was their first reunion after 20 years grossing over $120 million. It included all of their 1960s hits in addition to some of Paul Simon’s solo tracks like “Slip Slidin’ Away”.
Last month, five years after their last duo appearance, Simon and Garfunkel gave a surprise performance at Paul Simon’s concert at the newly renovated Beacon Theatre in New York.
Art Garfunkel told the BBC that the reaction to this appearance was “extraordinary”. Now the famous pair of singer-songwriters is talking about a reunion tour in Asia and Australia this spring, according to CNN. But so far no official announcement has been made.

Megabien interview with Joe Cocker

December 14, 2006
President & CEO Hans W. Stachowiak and his team met with Joe Cocker at the Sunset Sound studios in Hollywood to shoot an interview for the “Billy Preston Special”. Megabien produces a documentary about the life and musical achievements of Billy Preston, including footage from his last TV show concert “Legends Rock” on the island of Porquerolles in the south of France.
Joe Cocker, who just finished the recordings of his new album at the Sunset Sound, remembered Billy Preston as a kind of musical genius with a very unique and personal style of playing the Hammond organ. His interpretation of Billy Preston’s song “You are so beautiful” is still a highlight in Joe Cockers long-term career.
The megabien Billy Preston Special may include additional interviews with artists such as Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Sam Moore, Aretha Franklin who crossed the way of Billy Preston at some time……
